The VFWG organizes congresses and online symposia together with member universities and other associations.
Dreiländertagungen (Congress for the three German speaking countries)
Every second year, a member university of the VFWG organizes a Dreiländertagung (“three-country conference”) in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Scientific exchange and networking of universities of applied sciences and other actors in education and health care in the German-speaking countries are the main objectives of these conferences. The next conference takes place in Bern on May 5-6 2022.
Online Symposia
Online symposia are an efficient format for cross-national exchange. For 3 hours participants discuss various topics, e.g. strategies to advance the slow pace of academization of the health professions in Germany.
Political Statements
The VFWG takes positions on current education policy issues. The sluggish pace of academization in Germany is one of the most urgent topics.
Networking
The VFWG collaborates with various associations to pursue common goals.
